How to Find Us

CPC administrative offices are located in the east and west towers of University Square, a retail/office complex in the center of downtown Chapel Hill. Project and trainee offices are located in the University Square complex as well as at 206 West Franklin Street and 211 West Cameron Avenue (see map). Consult the CPC online phone directory to locate a particular person or office.

To Reach the CPC Reception Area: University Square consists of two towers (east and west) connected by a one-story building. The east tower is closer to SunTrust Bank. Enter the east tower from either side entrance. Take an elevator (located in the center of the tower) to the 5th floor. As you exit the elevator, turn left and enter through the glass door. The receptionist is on the right, just inside the door.

By Air

Chapel Hill is served by the Raleigh-Durham International Airport, which is located approximately 15 miles east of town. Taxis, shuttles, and buses (listed by the Chapel Hill/Orange County Visitors Bureau) provide transportation from the airport to Chapel Hill.

By Car

• Take I-40 West toward Chapel Hill and Durham.
• Take Exit 273-B (NC 54 West) toward Chapel Hill. Go 2.8 miles.
• NC 54 becomes Raleigh Rd.; Raleigh Rd. becomes South Rd.
• Turn right onto S. Columbia St. Go .4 mi.
• Turn left onto W. Franklin St.
• Move into left lane, go about 300 feet, and turn left into the second parking lot entrance (University Square).

FROM THE WEST on I-85 and I-40 (from Charlotte, Greensboro, and points west):

• Take I-40 East toward Chapel Hill and Raleigh.
• Take Exit 266 and turn right at the end of the exit ramp.
• Follow NC 86 South 4 miles.
• Turn right onto W. Franklin St.
• Move into left lane, go about 300 feet, and turn left into the second parking lot entrance (University Square).

FROM THE NORTH on I-85 (from Durham and points north):

• Follow I-85 South toward Chapel Hill.
• Take Exit 174A and merge onto US 15-501 South.
• Go 4 miles; the highway will divide.
• Bear right to take US 15-501 Business (Franklin St.).
• Go 2.9 miles and cross S. Columbia St.
• Move into left lane, go about 300 feet, and turn left into the second parking lot entrance (University Square).

FROM THE SOUTH on US 15-501 (from Sanford and points south):

• Take US 15-501 North to Chapel Hill.
• Continue straight on S. Columbia St./ NC 86 North. (US 15-501 veers to the right.)
• Go 1.4 miles.
• Turn left onto W. Franklin St.
• Move into left lane, go about 300 feet, and turn left into the second parking lot entrance (University Square).

PLEASE OBSERVE PARKING REGULATIONS

If you will be driving to the center, please let your CPC host know in advance, so that a visitor parking permit can be reserved for the day of your visit. Guests of the center may park in the yellow-lined tenant spots behind University Square East. Please obtain your visitor parking permit from the reception desk, on the 5th floor of University Square East, immediately upon arrival.

Parking rules are strictly enforced. Posted signs state towing regulations: "Parking for University Square customers while transacting business on the premises. All others subject to towing at vehicle owner's expense."
