| This position is being recruited for at the Advanced Competency level under the Career Banding program. The hiring range for this position is $41,469 - $53,002, and the salary grade equivalent is 67. ************************************************************************************************************************************************ POSITION DECRIPTION: The MEASURE Evaluation Project in the Carolina Population Center (www.cpc.unc.edu) is a large international project funded by the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) that focuses on monitoring and evaluation (M&E) of population, health and nutrition programs and improving health sector decision-making. The Accounting Technician will manage all sub-recipient pre-award and post-award relations, cost share data, and prepare routine and ad hoc financial reports. ESSENTIAL SKILLS: Excel proficiency is required. Computer proficiency, including email, calendar management and Microsoft Office skills are also essential. The ability to communicate effectively with technical, USAID and senior-level staff, both verbally and in writing, is required. Excellent working knowledge of office management techniques and organizational skills is necessary, as is the ability to work independently at a very high level, with little supervision. The selected candidate must be able to plan for and meet strict deadlines. Strong attention to detail and accuracy in preparing contractual and financial documents is required, as well as the ability to function well in a culturally diverse work environment. | |
