| Position Summary |
MEASURE Evaluation, an international population, health, and nutrition monitoring and evaluation project, with offices at the Carolina Population Center (www.cpc.unc.edu), University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, has an opening for a Research Associate with an advanced degree and skills in data collection, processing, and analysis. The Research Associate will support all aspects of the design, implementation, analysis, and dissemination of the MEASURE Evaluation project evaluations and technical assistance, with a particular emphasis on MEASURE Evaluation’s survey data analysis, publications and data management. The Research Associate will have experience using population survey data; a strong quantitative background; and experience writing and implementing programs using software such as CSPro, Epi Info, and SAS. This position will focus on leading survey data processing, setting up data entry programs, and conducting data analysis. The position requires international travel and will involve leading the training of local counterparts in data processing and overseeing data processing conducted in the field to ensure data quality. This position demands solid technical skills and strong interpersonal skills. The ideal candidate will have 7 years of relevant work experience including significant experience in project management. This position requires the ability to travel internationally at least 20 of time annually. |
| Educational Requirements |
A Masters’ degree in Economics, Sociology, Public Health, Demography, Epidemiology or a related discipline is required. |
