Position Summary:
The Project Site Field Manager oversees the field site management of HPTN 068: Effects of cash transfer for the prevention of HIV in young South African women. This study is a randomized controlled study that aims to reduce young women's risk of HIV infection by reducing barriers to schooling. We will be randomizing approximately 2,900 households of young women to receive a monthly cash transfer, conditional on the young woman attending school. The study is based in the Agincourt Demographic Surveillance Site run by the MRC/Wits Agincourt Unit. This is a rural site where annual census of the population has been conducted over the past 15 years to monitor health transitions in rural South Africa etc. The position requires full-time residence in the Bushbuckridge municipality of Mpumalanga, South Africa. The Field Manager will be a member of the staff of the Carolina Population Center (www.cpc.unc.edu).
 
Education Requirements:
Master's degree required; Master's in Public Health, Sociology or Development preferred. A combination of education and directly related experience will be considered in lieu of the Master's degree.
 
Qualifications and Experience:
Prior project management experience required. Prior clinical trials experience required. Experience in data and lab management preferred. Experience working on NIH/Network studies preferred.
