Spatial Analysis Services
Key Contact: Brian Frizzelle
Everything happens somewhere.
The last decade has seen an amazing growth of geospatial awareness around the world, both in our daily lives and within the research community. What began with Google Maps has developed into GPS-enabled mobile devices and location-aware apps that facilitate the collection of spatial data, while a proliferation in cartographic websites allow us to share that data with the world easier than ever before. Now, more than ever, it is easy to understand the importance of location.
The Spatial Analysis Services unit of the Carolina Population Center provides geospatial support for population research projects lead by the Center’s Fellows. Spatial Analysis staff can assist with all aspects of a project’s life course, including consultation during proposal writing, data acquisition, analysis and interpretation, model development, cartographic design, and participation in manuscript development. We combine long-established and newly developed methodologies with the latest technology to provide the highest quality service to researchers.
How can spatial analysis enrich your project? Whether you are new to this field and looking to get started or you've worked with geospatial data in the past and want to implement new and innovative techniques, the Spatial Analysis Services unit can assist you. We offer a wide variety of services which can be tailored to meet your needs:
