At the request of the USAID East Africa Regional Mission, MEASURE Evaluation developed a compendium of agreed-upon indicators for programs addressing violence against women and girls with the advice and input of a panel of international experts.
The panel of experts for this collaboration includes specialists from USAID's Inter-Agency Gender Working Group, United Nations organizations -- including the World Health Organization and UNAIDS -- and prominent researchers and programmatic experts in the field.
The compendium includes indicators that may be used across cultures and geographical areas. The compendium will serve as a monitoring and evaluation resource for those working to address violence against women and girls at the individual, community, district/provincial and national levels.
