MEASURE Evaluation in Zambia

Orphans and Vulnerable Children

MEASURE Evaluation provides technical assistance to the Government of the Republic of Zambia through its Central Statistical Office and the Ministry of Health in the implementation of Sexual Behavior Surveys in Zambia (ZSBS). The main objective of the surveys is to obtain rural and urban national estimates (disaggregated by age and sex) of a number of key international and national indicators important to monitoring progress of the national HIV/AIDS/STDs program in Zambia. The surveys provide indicators on knowledge, attitudes and sexual behavior related to HIV/AIDS, as well as information on orphans and vulnerable children (OVC) and assistance to households and communities affected by the HIV/AIDS pandemic.
