Identifying HIV Prevention Gaps in Zimbabwe

MEASURE Evaluation is releasing a
report on a study which examines why girls under 18 and young women 18-24 are at
high risk of getting HIV. The study,
conducted in Zimbabwe,
seeks to determine where girls and young women meet new sexual partners. Particular attention was paid to orphan girls
because of prior research indicating, in Zimbabwe, orphans might be at
higher risk of acquiring HIV than non-orphans

HIV Implementer’s Meeting, June

MEASURE Evaluation's work in orphans
and vulnerable children (OVC) will be featured at the upcoming HIV Implementer's meeting in Kampala, Uganda

HIV/AIDS Curriculum Adapted for IMEA
The CESAG/MEASURE Evaluation
curriculum used to conduct the M&E of HIV/AIDS Programs course at CESAG,
was successfully adapted and used by the Institut de Médecine et Epidémiologie
Appliqué (IMEA). With the support of
UNAIDS and the University of Lausanne, it added an M&E component to IMEA's annual six week
HIV/AIDS clinical training for clinicians. Fifty-two participants from 15
