New Case Study Details Health Improvements in Cote d’Ivoire

A new MEASURE Evaluation case study details improvements in data demand and information use in Cote d’Ivoire. The Ivorian Ministry of Health (MoH) and MEASURE Evaluation worked together to improve HIV/AIDS data collection and information use. As a result, from 2006 to 2008, the number of people tested for HIV increased by 77 percent, and the number of people counseled increased by 72 percent.

National Forum Unites Malaria-Control Experts in Kenya

With support from MEASURE Evaluation, the first Kenya National Malaria Forum was held October 10-11 in Nairobi. The forum brought together more than 130 participants from the Kenyan government, NGOs, the press, faith-based organizations, universities, and other organizations participated to share knowledge and experiences about malaria control.

Lot Quality Assurance Sampling in Kenya

MEASURE Evaluation first used LQAS in Kenya in 2009 when it piloted the Child Survival Indicator Survey. The pilot study was undertaken in Kenya’s Western and Nyanza provinces in collaboration with the National Coordinating Agency for Population and Development (NCAPD) and the Division of Child Health.

Lot Quality Assurance Sampling in Liberia

MEASURE Evaluation began providing technical assistance in Liberia for a pilot study using the lot quality assurance sampling (LQAS) methodology in early 2011.
