Abstract:The Child Status Index (CSI) is a widely used information collection tool among programs for children who are orphaned or made vulnerable by HIV/AIDS. The last several years of CSI implementation have enabled MEASURE Evaluation and others to learn about how the CSI fits into the overall package of M&E tools and when, and in which, circumstances the tool is best used. This document briefly describes the tool, its purposes, and the lessons learned about best usages.
