Improving Routine Health Information Systems

This two-week training course in Pretoria, South provides professionals with a rapid transfer of knowledge and skills in routine health information systems (RHIS) assessment and action planning with a particular focus on improving RHIS for evidence-based decision making at national- and district-levels.

The course is built on the PRISM conceptual framework, which proposes that behavioral and organizational aspects of RHIS are just as important as data quality and system design in defining RHIS performance as a health system management tool.

"Improving Routine Health Information Systems in South Africa" is a collaboration among the School of Health Systems and Public Health at the University of Pretoria, MEASURE Evaluation and the Health Information Systems Programme.
