CPC Fellow Popkin Awarded Grant from NIH

CPC Fellow and Professor of Nutrition, Barry Popkin has been awarded a 5-year grant from the National Cancer Institute at the National Institutes of Health. "Diet, Activity, Obesity & the Built Environment Dynamics" is a longitudinal study with work continuing until June of 2010. MacArthur Foundation Awards Grant to CPC Fellow Leslie

Paul Leslie, CPC Fellow and professor of anthropology, has been awarded a grant from the MacArthur Foundation. The 18-month study, entitled “Alternative Consequences of Migration for Land Use and Conservation in Northern Tanzania”, was co-awarded to Terrence McCabe at the University of Colorado Boulder. CPC Fellows Walsh and Bilsborrow Awarded Grant from NASA

NASA has awarded a grant to Stephen J. Walsh, CPC Fellow and and Professor of Geography, and to Richard E. Bilsborrow, CPC Fellow and Professor of Biostatistics, for a two-year study entitled "Multi-Agent Models of Land Cover/Land Use Dynamics in the Northern Ecuadorian Amazon: Coupling Human & Natural Systems through Pattern-Process Relationships and Spatial Simulations."
