Limited Online Analysis
Users who do not have direct access to Add Health data can run dynamic analysis online on a limited subset of the public-use data. Users may choose variables and statistics without writing or understanding SAS programming. Each dataset contains variables from the public-use sample
and is weighted. The results can be saved, printed, or run
again later. These basic statistics are available:
- variable descriptions
- frequency distributions
- means with optional by-group processing
- descriptive statistics including quartiles with optional by-group analyses
- descriptive statistics in tabular format
A subset of variables is available for analysis from these sources of public-use data:
- Wave I in-home interview (1995)
190 variables, 6,504 observations
- Wave II comparable variables from in-home interview (1996)
183 variables, 4,834 observations
- Wave III in-home interview (2001–2002)
143 variables, 4,882 observations
In order to use these data online you must agree to the
Data Use Agreement.
