Children Energy Expenses
The CHNS Individual Energy Consumption Master File contains information regarding children’s energy consumption measured by wearing a CALTRAC™ device. As a longitudinal file, it may contain multiple years of data for each child. A child can have from 1 to 2 years of data as designated by the WAVE variable, which contains the survey year, 1997, or 2000.
This file consolidates outside child care data from two survey files:
