Master Pregnancy History File
The CHNS Pregnancy History Master File contains information from the Ever-Married Women (EMW) Surveys regarding pregnancy history. As a longitudinal file, it contains multiple years of data for each household. An individual can have from 1 to 6 years of data as designated by the WAVE variable, which contains the survey year, 1991, 1993, 1997, 2000, 2004, or 2006. Each Survey Year can contain information regarding multiple pregnancies.
This file consolidates Pregnancy History data from 10 survey files:

From 1991 through 2000, the information about the "most recent pregnancy" was recorded in the main section of the Ever-Married Women Survey and all previous pregnancies for that time period were recorded in a separate Pregnancy History Table and separate survey file. Using 2004 as a model, this file consolidates ALL pregnancy history into a single Pregnancy History File (M07PREG). The pregnancy history variables from the main section of the EMW survey were renamed to match their counterpart in the Pregnancy History Table.
