Master Child/Parent Relationship File

The Child/Parent Relationship file contains a single observation for every child who participated in a CHNS Survey and was less than or equal to 18.9 years of age at the time they were first surveyed.  It contains their current household (HHID) and individual (LINE) ID, and up to six ID pairs (household/line) for parents they have resided with.  The six ID pairs are:

1.      Father (dad_h/dad_l) - biological father
2.      Mother (mom_h/mom_l) - biological mother
3.      Grandfather (gdad_h/gdad_l)
4.      Grandmother (gmom_h/gmom_l)
5.      Other Father (odad_h/odad_l) - step father or foster father
6.      Other Mother (omom_h/omom_l) - step mother or foster mother
