Department of Computer and Health Statistics,
Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention

The Department of Computer and Health Statistics is a research department directly under the jurisdiction of the Director of the Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention. The Department consists of two parts: a group of health statisticians and a group of computer statisticians. The former is responsible for methodological studies of medical statistics, data analysis for large-scale field surveys, and statistical consultation to the departments and institutions in the Center as well as to the departments in the Ministry of Public Health. The health statistician group is now involved in several projects, some of which are cooperative efforts with other institutions under the rubric of the Center, while some are joint projects with foreign institutions. This group now has 11 staff members, including 1 professor, 2 associate professors, and 3 associate researchers.
