Measurement of Key Variables

We will generate and link contemporaneous geographic locations of respondents and physical environment variables to CARDIA data to examine the relationship between environmental factors and physical activity (PA) and diet patterns. Our analysis will be a combination of selected research on specific topics such as walking patterns and overall PA patterns. Our analytic approach will allow us to significantly contribute to the understanding of environmental determinants of PA and diet behaviors. Our specific interest is in policy and effects of select environmental factors influencing PA and diet patterns.
