Research Projects
Our research program explores the dynamic effects of the economic and built environment on dietary and physical activity patterns. Basic elements of all projects include:
- Measures of population-wide environment, e.g., recreation facilities, food stores and restaurants, climate, weather, land use patterns
- Measures of income, education, demographic, and other socio-economic data
- Measures of body composition, physical activity and inactivity, and dietary intake
- Measures of many other intermediate health-related behaviors and outcomes
