CAG Survey

Thank you for coming to this website to give us your feedback about lessons that the Duplin CAG has learned that could help other CAGs in North Carolina and around the country. Your ideas are valuable to us and we appreciate you taking the time to share them with us.

We currently have representatives from local government, religious organizations, health care organizations (Duplin General Hospital, Goshen Medical, Duplin County Health Department), social services, education, major employers, NAACP, sororities, and mental health. Are there other groups that should be represented on the CAG?
We currently have a chair of the CAG. Do you think we should have a chair and co-chair? a steering committee? or another leadership structure?

If you selected other - please describe your thoughts for a leadership structure here.
The purposes of the Duplin County National Children’s Study Community Advisory Group are to assist with: 1. Overall community engagement in Duplin County; 2. Maintaining effective communications between the study team and the Duplin community; and 3. Offering advice regarding Study activities including reviewing recruitment and retention strategies for Duplin County.
We currently meet quarterly - is this the right frequency? We are meeting for dinner at 6pm-8pm on Thursdays. Is this time good for you? Are there other times/days that are better for you?
At most meetings, NCS staff provide updates about the NCS nationally and NCS activities in Duplin. Sometimes we have a group discussion or a demonstration of a data collection visit. What do you think of these activities? Are there other activities or formats that we should try? What can we do to facilitate discussion among CAG members?
Please let us know what would help you and others you know attend CAG meetings. If you have missed any meetings, what contributed to your decision not to attend?
We may be able to set up a video conference with another CAG. Would you be interested in meeting with other CAGs in North Carolina? in other states? What topics would you like to discuss with them?
