Round 14

Data Availability

The RLMS Round 14 data are now available. As has been the case in the past, data have been divided into a number of files, which are described in the Data section. As always, it will repay you to read that revised section and to download and read the pertinent questionnaires before proceeding to obtain the data.

As was the case in previous rounds, some questions were added to the Adult survey by the Russian government for internal use. The corresponding data are not being released at this time. The questions whose answers are not available have been shaded in the questionnaire and are not accompanied by variable names.

Variable Names

In order to maintain a variable name length of eight characters, we have substituted the letter 'N' for the round number in Round 14 variable names, 'N' being the 14th letter of the English alphabet. For example, a variable that in Round 9 is named I9WANTJB will in Round 14 be named INWANTJB.
