Influenza Genotype-Seographic Database
We have constructed an Influenza Genotype-Geographic Database (IGGD) of viruses and hypothesized population-environment drivers using ArcGIS software.
Case locations and associated genetic sequences are layered over global and local datasets of environmental and population variables. This IGGD is then queried for spatial analyses of variables that are drivers of genetic evolution.
Currently, the IGGD includes information on over 200 H5N1 cases strains from birds and humans in Vietnam between 2003 and 2007.
