Social Cash Transfers and Impacts on Children in Eastern & Southern Africa
(Nairobi, Kenya, from

This workshop was held after the seven month design phase of The Transfer Project. The SCUK research team had visited the proposed target countries and completed detailed reports on the state of SCTs in the country, and the potential for either leveraging existing M&E systems or creating new evaluation designs to help inform the evidence base around SCTs and their impacts on children. The key objectives of the workshop were: 1) To build an outline of the national and overarching research frameworks and implementation plans based on key decisions on project design issues; 2) To establish shared understanding and ownership of the project at national and regional level.
