Scaling Up Capability Building for continuous Quality Improvement in Ethiopia

CPC works with an Ethiopian research organization to conduct an external evaluation of a Quality Improvement Maternal and Newborn Health Intervention in Ethiopia. CPC will be a subcontractor to the Institute for Healthcare Improvement (IHI) on their grant from the Cargill Foundation. This work focuses on a pastoral region of Ethiopia and UNC is involved in a quantitative impact analysis of key maternal and newborn outcomes qualitative assessments of participant learning regarding quality improvement methods and assessments of team functioning. In collaboration with a research organization in Ethiopia, CPC will conduct primary and secondary data collection. The quantitative impact assessment will use existing facility and program records while the qualitative and team assessments will involve primary data collection.
