The professional librarians at CPC provide reference services, perform original cataloging, manage the librarys automated systems, interact with other campus librarians, and provide a full complement of library services. The librarians manage the technical services functions of the library including programming, database manangement, cataloging, and ordering and processing. The librarians also provide in-depth reference services including online searching and bibliographic instruction, user-support assistance, and evaluate new information resources. They are responsible for the print and electronic collection development and evaluation, and subject cataloging of print and electronic materials.

Student employees are an important part of the CPC library team. They provide assistance in circulation, reference and technical services. They process interlibrary loan document requests, incoming serials, and new acquisitions. They provide the courier service, handle circulation requests, and contribute to the overall maintenance of the collection and the operations of the library.
