Position Summary |
The Tuberculosis Data, Impact Assessment and Communications Hub (TB DIAH) Project, an Associate Award of the MEASURE Evaluation project, funded by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), is a global health project, with offices at the Carolina Population Center, University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (www.tbdiah.org) in partnership with John Snow International (JSI). TB DIAH has an opening for a Sr. Advisor for TB Communications who will serve as TB DIAH’s Senior Communications Director. The Senior Communications Director is responsible for the management and strategic direction of TB DIAH’s communication activities. This includes knowledge management (KM) for a web based communications hub, dissemination of TB data analyses generated through the project’s data hub and communications (i.e. briefs, reports, presentations, capacity building etc.) related to strategic areas within the project. The Communications Director will work closely with USAID and TB DIAH technical experts to develop and manage an online TB resource repository and data hub containing monitoring and evaluation (M&E) tools for TB; state-of-the-art TB information and capacity building resources; and national TB data summaries for USAID’s 23 priority countries. Activities include: The position will be located in either Chapel Hill, NC, or JSI offices in Arlington VA. Limited international travel is expected. |
Educational Requirements |
A master’s graduate degree in a relevant field of study. |
Qualifications and Experience |
1. At least ten years of experience in a communications relevant field with at least two years’ experience working in international settings; experience with USAID projects strongly preferred. |
