Description of Work

Carolina Demography is an applied demographic research team in the Carolina Population Center at the University of North Carolina – Chapel Hill. We are beginning a major survey research project. The Research Assistant will work with the project lead on many aspects of the project.

Tasks may include:
– Conducting a literature review
– Developing a specific stratification and sampling plan
– Developing Qualtrics surveys
– Monitoring survey response rates
– Cleaning data and working with a statistician to analyze results
– Writing a report of the survey results
– If necessary, acting as an interface with the organization administering the survey

Education and Experience

Minimum Education and Experience:
Graduation from a four-year college; or an equivalent combination of training and/or related experience.

Preferred Experience:
Proficiency with using Stata for sampling procedures
Proficiency with Qualtrics
