Description of Work

The temporary Research Assistant will provide support to the study by taking meeting notes, coordinating and scheduling group meetings, assisting with writing various scripts and protocols as well as participant communications, creating flow charts, tables and charts, helping with Institutional Review Board (IRB) modifications and attachments, proof-reading various study-related documents and general filing, scanning and documentation tasks.

Education and Experience

Bachelor’s degree; or equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.

The tasks involved for this position require proficiency with basic Microsoft Office programs including MS Word and Power Point. In addition, this position requires skills with graphic design, experience working with an institutional IRB and experience working with budgets and spreadsheets. This position requires an extremely high level of attention to detail and accuracy as the temporary research assistant will be proof-reading documents for the investigative team. In addition, this position needs to be able to work in a fast-paced environment, with various team members; time-management, with frequent changes to prioritization of tasks, is also essential.

Due to the tasks involved, this position requires experience working within a research environment and prior work or educational experience in communications or a related field.
