Allie Reimold
Allie Reimold is a PhD Candidate in the Department of Health Behavior at the UNC Gillings School of Global Public Health. She is interested in health promotion and disease prevention by analyzing how the private sector creates environments that ultimately impact behavior and chronic disease. Her current work utilizes mixed methods approaches to understand how food- and tobacco-purchasing behavior is influenced by the retail environment, particularly related to the rapidly expanding dollar store market. In collaboration with researchers on the Global Food Research Program team, Allie designs surveys and collects data from patients and practitioners participating in produce prescription programs. This work highlights experiences and satisfaction with produce prescription programs along with associated behavior changes.
