Acknowledging CPC Center Grants

What is the CPC P2C Center Grant?

The P2C, or Population Dynamics Centers Research Infrastructure Program grant, provides support to advance the field of population dynamics research by increasing research impact, innovation, and productivity; developing junior scientists; and maximizing the efficiency of research support. The principle research areas of CPC’s P2C are Sexuality, Reproduction, Fertility, and Families; Population, Health, and the Environment; and Inequality, Mobility, and Well-Being. CPC Fellows and Trainees who conduct PDB-relevant research are supported by the P2C grant (P2C HD050924) and should cite it.

What is the CPC P30 Center Grant?

The P30 supports the Carolina Center for Population Aging and Health (CCPAH), which is one of NIA’s 12 Centers on the Demography and Economics of Aging. The center supports the infrastructure and pilot data necessary for research and program development, focusing on CPC’s three principle research areas: Aging in Diverse Contexts, Understanding Links between Health and Social and Economic Productivity, and Measurement and Methods. Fellows, Trainees, and other CCPAH affiliates who conduct research in these areas are supported by the P30 grant (P30 AG066615) and should cite it.

How do I know when to cite one or both?

Use the P2C/P30 Flowchart to determine if either grant should be cited. If you are still unsure, send the title and abstract to Lexie Groner for guidance.
