Population Science Training Program

The CPC is committed to training upcoming generations of scholars and professionals in population research and methodology.  Training activities encompass several areas at the center:

  • Predoctoral Training unites a firm base in a social science or health discipline with formal training in core demography and faculty mentored research-based training in an increasingly broad array of population topics.
  • The Postdoctoral Program involves close mentoring relationships between CPC faculty fellows and postdoctoral scholars, customized to fit the goals and interests of both.
  • CPC offers seminars that increase understanding of and share experiences with research projects and methodology.
  • CPC develops training tools and materials and makes them available to the research and professional communities to advance the approaches to complex population and health information problems in the US and globally.
