Supplemental Compensation Policy

Funded CPC pre- and postdocs are expected to have a full-time commitment to the research program agreed on with their respective preceptors. Extramural activities resulting in supplemental compensation are allowed only when the activities result in a career building benefit, or in the case of a departmental requirement. Income producing activities, with income enhancement as the primary motivation, are not allowed.

All requests to engage in work resulting in financial compensation must be made in writing to the Training Program prior to beginning work. The request will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis by the CPC Training Director and Associate Director of Training Programs.

Violations may result in loss of future eligibility.

Policy approved by the CPC Training Committee, November 11, 2002.
