CPC Fellow and Assistant Professor of Sociology Yong Cai was recently featured in a Science Magazine article on the implications of the one-child policy for China. The article discusses the affects the policy has had on the nation and why Cai and other demographers advocate eliminating the policy or phasing it out. Within the article, they discuss the research that supports their goal to get rid of the policy and their efforts to appeal to the Chinese government for changes. The full article can be read here.
