CPC Fellow Peter Coclanis Receives Faculty Award for Global Excellence from UNC Global Affairs

CPC Fellow and Albert R. Newsome Distinguished Professor of History Peter Coclanis received the Faculty Award for Global Excellence from UNC Global Affairs.

The award recognizes faculty members whose contributions advance the University’s unwavering commitment to excellence as one of the world’s great research universities.

Coclanis is an economic historian who works on American, Southeast Asian, and global economic history from the 17th century to the present day. He publishes in the fields of agricultural history, economic history/economic development, environmental history, and demographic history.
