UNC’s Gillings School of Global Public Health recently announced that Anna Maria Siega-Riz, a Carolina Population Center Faculty Fellow, was appointed to a prestigious federal advisory committee on dietary guidelines.

“Anna Maria Siega-Riz, PhD, RD, professor of epidemiology and nutrition at the Gillings School of Global Public Health, is one of 15 nationally recognized experts selected to serve on the 2015 Dietary Guidelines Advisory Committee.

Her selection was announced May 31 by U.S. Secretary of Health and Human Services Kathleen Sebelius and U.S. Department of Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack.”
