UNC News Services issued a tip sheet listing faculty experts who are available to talk with the news media about the earthquake in Haiti.

CPC Fellow Margaret “Peggy” Bentley can speak with reporters about the physical and mental health needs of survivors.

CPC Fellow Margarita Mooney can talk about cultural, social and religious aspects of Haitians. Mooney’s recently published book, Faith Makes Us Live: Surviving and Thriving in the Haitian Diaspora (University of California Press, 2009) describes her research in Haiti and with Haitians who created communities in Miami, Montreal, and Paris.
