CPC fellows receive Research Excellence Awards from Gillings School of Global Public Health

CPC fellows Chantel Martin and Arianna Planey were among eight faculty who were awarded Gillings Research Excellence Awards from the UNC Gillings School of Global Public Health. Awardees receive $500 to support their research, scholarship, and professional development.
Martin’s research seeks to uncover social and biological mechanisms of health disparities across the life course. Planey’s research focuses include the application of spatial analytic, statistical and epidemiologic methods to study interactions between health(care) policies, health care access and utilization and underlying, population-level health inequities, and identify points of intervention at structural- and system-levels.
