NASA has awarded a grant to Stephen J. Walsh, CPC Fellow and and Professor of Geography, and to Richard E. Bilsborrow, CPC Fellow and Professor of Biostatistics, for a two-year study entitled “Multi-Agent Models of Land Cover/Land Use Dynamics in the Northern Ecuadorian Amazon: Coupling Human & Natural Systems through Pattern-Process Relationships and Spatial Simulations.” The funding period begins January 2006.
