Faculty Fellow John Batsis presented to White House Domestic Policy Council

Faculty Fellow John Batsis was the American Geriatric Society’s representation as part of the National Council on Aging’s Obesity and Equity Aging Initiative that took place last year. This ongoing initiative met again last week, where members of the Indian Health Service, NCOA, National Asian Pacific Center on Aging, and the Gerontological Society of America meet with the White House Domestic Policy Council with the Special Assistant to the President for Public Health Disparities, Catherine Oakar. Batsis and colleagues presented on some important policy issues in advance of National Malnutrition Awareness Week this month.
