CPC Fellow Peter Coclanis co-authored an opinion piece for the News & Observer on a new UNC Global Research Institute report on growth in the South. The article focuses on “A Way Forward: Building a Globally Competitive South,” a report consisting of policy-related essays outlining why growth is still impeded in the South. This report revisits issues addressed in two other policy reports released in 1986. Within the article, Coclanis discusses the three most common themes found in the new report.
