Chien-Yi Hou is the Director of Web Services at the Carolina Population Center, where he leads the Web Services team in designing, building, and maintaining the technology systems that power CPC's research and public engagement. His work spans web strategy and governance, custom application development, and the secure dissemination of restricted research data to stakeholders worldwide.
With over a decade at UNC Chapel Hill and a background in computer science, Chien-Yi brings both technical depth and strategic leadership to CPC's digital infrastructure — including the CPC Data Portal, a secure web application that manages access to sensitive population research data.
