Dr Perez-Escamilla has correctly pointed out that there are limitations to recall from self-reported cross-sectional data, limitations which we discussed extensively. He suggests additional alternative explanations for the findings. The first is that women who are more likely to recall receiving advice would be more likely to ask for it. Indeed, it is possible that women who recall advice may place greater importance on advice and seek out providers who give it.URL
