This chapter examines the extent of heterogeneity in health outcomes among various Asian and Pacific Islander populations in the USA. It is noted that while most of the larger Asian American subgroups, including those of Chinese, Filipino, Korean and Japanese origin, exhibit fairly healthy profiles, indigenous Hawaiians and Samoans do not. Nor do some of the smaller Asian American subgroups such as Laotians, Cambodians and Hmong.URL
