The rising number of educated, accomplished women in China who remain single is the topic of a recent article in The Atlantic. As more Chinese women are prioritizing education and career success than in the past, the dynamics of China’s population continue to change. Within the article, CPC Fellow Yong Cai helps explain why many of these women are unwillingly single and how the gender imbalance in China is contributing.
