Min Kyung “MK” Kim is a doctoral student in the Department of Epidemiology at the Gillings School of Global Public Health. She is interested in the social determinants of health and biological mechanisms especially for Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) and immigrant populations.

Prior to being a Biosocial Trainee, MK worked as a research associate of the ADAPT (Addressing Disparities in Asian Populations through Translational Research) at Tufts Medical Center, advocating equitable mental health services for AAPI community members. She also worked at the Korea Foundation for International Healthcare (KOFHI) where she assessed the quality-adjusted coverage of maternal and child health services in Cambodia and Myanmar. As a research analyst at the Harvard School of Public Health, she collaborated with diverse stakeholders from policymakers to multilateral organizations to build the Quality Evidence for Health System Transformation (QUEST) network.
