Healthy Eating Research (HER)
Summary
Healthy Eating Research (HER) has requested the services of the Global Food Research Program (GFRP), led by Dr. Lindsey Smith Taillie, PhD, to conduct research on ultraprocessed foods (UPFs) to inform a national panel of experts convened by HER, whose purview is to create a set of evidence-informed recommendations for policymakers and advocates to inform the development of policies to limit UPF exposure at the local, state, and federal levels. The panel is comprised of experts from a variety of backgrounds who have expertise in nutrition, food science, epidemiology, nutrition policy, food law, policymaking, and policy advocacy.
