The ACA and the Demography of the US Criminal Justice Population
Summary
Gutierrez will examine whether and how the ACA influences the size, composition, and geographic distribution of the U.S. criminal justice population. The focus of this project is guided by two specific aims: 1) To assess the effects of the ACA on the size of the criminal justice population across states, and 2) To explore whether and how the ACA influences the composition of the criminal justice population across states.
