Abstract
This symposium, organized by the World Computer Graphics Foundation, with the help of the Departments of Epidemiology and Biostatistics, and Geography at the University of South Florida, was funded with support from the U.S. Agency for Toxic Substance and Disease Registry, the U.S. National Center for Health Statistics, U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, the U.S. Center for Environmental Health, and the Environmental Systems Research Institute. These provided the opportunity for us to focus some of our efforts and to bring a set of international experts to the conference. They provided financial assistance in publishing, student support, and maintaining relatively low conference fees for our attendees.
