Rebecca Wu
Rebecca is a second-year PhD student in biological anthropology. She holds a BA in biological anthropology from Northwestern University. Their previous research focused on the intergenerational effects of maternal prenatal stress on the infant gut microbiome and health outcomes.
Rebecca's current interests center on parent/child health, social support, and the microbiome. They are particularly interested in how the microbiome can be used to study the interface between humans and their physical and social environments. She is also interested in social support within queer populations, especially as it relates to experiences of family formation.
