Sara Ghebremicael is a doctoral student in the Department of Geography, studying how climate and conflict impact food security. Sara's work examines how climate variability and political instability affect populations - and how these dynamics shape food security, migration, livelihoods, adaptation strategies, and household resilience in the Global South. Her current research focuses on the impacts of conflict and unpredictable climate patterns in Ethiopia, and how indigenous knowledge systems and traditional agricultural practices can offer viable, sustainable solutions.
